Dr.

One of the most absorbing and poignant documentaries about Alzheimer’s disease I have seen. Chris manages to reveal not just the fear, frustrations, and difficulties but also the tenderness of a human being (his father) as he succumbs, but not acquiesces, to the disease. The film bravely invites the viewer to experience the life of family as they too are forced to live the far reaching consequences of the disease. Much Respect.
Also Thanks for developing such an accessible, balanced and informative website.

...

Those clips were excellent at revealing the difficulties and frustrations shown by the AD victims and their loved ones. As the spouse of a recently diagnosed AD victim I am reminded of what it was like for my husband during those earlier stages of the disease. He is now in a NH where he gets excellent care. I would say he is now in the middle stages of the disease. All of his recent memories are gone. Anything that has happened as recent as 5 minutes ago up to including 2 to 3 years ago have all but been erased. I truly find these disease very frustrating. I love my husband very much and it pains me to see him being attacked by this horrible disease.

Those clips were excellent at capturing the difficulties and frustrations encountered by both the AD victim and their loved ones. As the spouse of a long time AD victim I am reminded of what it was like for my wife in the earlier stages.
