From Film to Website
Wednesday, 10 December 2008 15:20

After two full years of working on the film and a total of 6 years working on my first documentary, I am both happy and sad that the film is done. I am happy so many people will get the chance to see it, but also a bit sad it’s over; it’s been a part of my life for so long. I am however very happy that the new website will carry on the same ideas as the film, and will hopefully bring a lot more people together and awareness to the disease. The final touches are being finished for the website and it looks great.

Over the years working on the film the original reasons for making this film have always stayed the same. I’ve always said I wanted to make this film to tell another story about Alzheimer’s. I believe these kinds of stories can really help other people who are going through the same situation. Now my hope is for the website to do the same thing, but I want other people to start to tell there own stories on the site. Whether it’s a story about a family member who has the disease or someone who works with people who have Alzheimer’s or even people with the disease, I think the website is a perfect platform for these stories. Eventually they will be able to upload their stories as text, audio and video for all to see and hear. The disease is all about creating a support community and that’s all we are hoping to do with our new website. Again the message is the same from the film to the website; it’s all about knowledge and connection and creating awareness for familes who have been affected by this terrible disease.

Chris....
I found your site by accident while googling Curran Lake.....I knew your Mom and Dad as having grown up 'next door' at Curran Lake and
always respected your Dad and his humour and energy.....My Aunt Dorothy Pritchard's cottage was beside yours.
My highest praise for your tackling of such a personal documentary and I'll be watching the film on January 11th on TVO.
Rgds...Glen....
PS...pls mention my name to your Dad in any event......904 454 4717
