Hello Again

I am finally back on here, just wanted to update everyone on things. From March 25-29 I was in Toronto attending the International Alzheimer's Disease conference, and I just wanted to thank Comcare/Revera for their sponsorship! Becasue I have been traveling around Canada for the past two years I knew a lot of people at the conference and it was great to see some familiar faces! and nice to catch up with some old friends. I found some of the conference to be a lot of statistics and studies, which I was not really interested in, however I did go to a couple of wrokshops that were very inspiring. And I know now that I must continue to develop new projects to help educate the general public about these diesease!!!

This weekend I am off to Vancouver to present at the Canadian Geriatrics Society 31st annual Scientific Meeting, and again I would like to thank everyone who made this trip possible for me. I have also been interviewing families and caregivers and other professionals for a new caregiver project, and I wanted to thank everyone who has volunteered their time. I have recently started editing footage from a retired doctor I met in Northern Ontario who's wife has Alzheimer's and has been filming her for 40 years. I will keep you updated on this project as well.

I also wanted to give a mention of LCARE and all the great success they have had as of late. The small organization started just over a year ago and is doing some great things already, great work everyone! LCARE supports caregivers in the Laurentians here in Quebec and I am pleases to sit on their board of directors.

Finally this Thursday April 24th in Toronto a fundraiser is being held for the Alzheimer's Society. This event is being held by my friend Dana who is also a child of EOAD. Please visit
