Hello Again! I just got back from a few more presentations in Ontario, back on Sept 22 & 23 I traveled to the Ottawa region for 2 presentations. I presented the film on Sept 22 at 1 pm at the O'brien theatre in Renfrew. The Alzheimer's Society had CTV new anchor Max Keeping host the event and a rather large group of caregivers, families and professionals showed up to the screening, I believe there were about 70 people out. The theatre was just beautiful and as I understand has a lot of history! thanks to everyone who came out. The next night I was in Ottawa to do another presentation at the Bit Heads theatre in the Westgate mall in Ottawa. Thank you to Bit Heads for lending us the theatre to screen the film. Again I believe about 70 people out to see the film. Again the Q&A went really well and I have again made some new friends! thanks Caitlin!!!! On October 26 I had two presentations with the Alzheimer's Society of Toronto, now I have been to this head office a few times and it's just an amazing place, very welcoming!!! Both the afternoon screening and evening screening (even though the weather was bad) went really well, with about 30 people at each presentation. I hope to continue my relation ship with the Alzheimer's Society not just in Ontario, but right across the country as I believe they do amazing work! thanks Susan and others for all your hard work!!! On Oct 27 I was invited to visit The Christie Gardens Retirement home in Toronto, to do a staff development afternoon. I was treated to a great lunch and then was introduced to more then 70 of the staff who work at Christie gardens. The film went over really well and I had some great feed back about how beneficial it would if each person who livied at the residence had a short documentary to go along with them so the staff could see the family and the history behind each person! A great idea!!!! I hope to visit more residences and more people involved, as I believe they are the true heros!!!!! Finally on Nov 1, I wnet back to school!!! I wnet back to Algonquin College in Ottawa, to present the film to the Nursing department, as well as the photography department, which I graduated from in 1996. I was great to see how the college has changed and the photo department as well. I love to do presentations to students and staff, to help them better understand the disease and again to help educate! thanks to eveyone at the "Gonk" who invited me back and thanks to Garry in the photo department for the gifts and the tour! Some new developmets have been happening with this site and my presentations so stay tuned!!!! take care Chris
