I just wanted to mention the passing of one of Canada's best documentary filmmaker. Allan King died Monday at 79, the reason I am writing about Allan is because Allan has made some great films and he made a film called "Memory for Max, Claire, Ida and Company" about aging and Alzheimer's. The film was made at Baycrest in Toronto. I was lucky enough to also film at Baycrest while making my film. My videos of Baycrest will be posted on this site very soon. Allan King obituary at CBC.ca: http://www.cbc.ca/arts/film/story/2009/06/15/allan-king.html TVO had played all of King's films in the past year and will probably do another retrospective on him soon. I encouraged you to check out his films at www.allankingfilms.com. About 3 weeks ago I sent Allan my film "Forgetful Not Forgotten", I'm not sure if he had a chance to see it or not, but I wanted to thank him for inspiring me to make my film and many more! Allan you will be missed! Chris
