Again I would like to thank everyone who has been leaving messages here on our new website. A lot of people have also been asking me questions at different places on the site. If you would like to ask me something specific, please do so below these blogs and then I can get back to each person. As well feel free to become a member and share you story with others. I finally got the dates for the film at Cinema Du Parc here in Montreal. Forgetful Not Forgotten will be screened on Monday March 2nd and Tuesday March 3rd at 7pm at the theatre. My film will air along with a short fictional film about Alzheimer's called "My Name Is Lisa". Then after the screenings I will do a short question and answer period. Both the Alzheimer's Society of Montreal & The Alzheimer's Groupe of Montreal are helping out with advertising and will be present at the screenings to take donations and give out information about Alzheimer's. The next screening on T.V. will be on The Saskatchewan Communications network on February 18th at 9pm. As well I've been contacted to speak at three different events in the spring I will pass along the information when I get it. I have also sent a copy of the film to the Alzheimer's Association of America to see if they can help promote it! We will also be conducting more experts interviews this month, and I will be posting some short documentaries on this site about some of the other people I met while making this film, stay tuned!

![]() ...Chris ...I watched your movie on tv last night. Amazing! The strength you must have needed to film your father had to have been exhausting. I cried several times throughout the film just by imagining how it must have felt for your father to forget who you are and hearing the pain in your voice when speaking with him. He's extremely lucky to have been surrounded by you and your family. As a student nurse, I've worked with Alzheimer's patients; all too many that have been put into homes and forgotten as they have progressively forgotten their loved ones. I can better understand the progression of Alzheimer's and its side effects now and know what families go through when their loved one is diagnosed. Thank you! ...Watched your movie last night on SCN. Your Father would be proud of you for making a film about him and the battle with alzheimers . I related to so many things in the show to my family and our moms alzheimers . Our Dad cared for mom for 5 years until Dad became ill in the fall of 06 .Dad was hospitalized so we had to make the decision to put mom into long term care.Dad passed away Jan.22 07 and mom passed away in her sleep Feb 28 07 .In away we were blessed because we didn't have to watch her struggle anymore.I had two uncles on my moms side who had a tough fight with alheimers. At least the disease doesn't take away their sense of humour .Our mom made us laugh all the time . Thank you for making the movie it brought back lots of memories. ...Dear Chris, ...Hi Chris, |
