Again I would like to thank everyone who has been leaving messages here on our new website. A lot of people have also been asking me questions at different places on the site. If you would like to ask me something specific, please do so below these blogs and then I can get back to each person. As well feel free to become a member and share you story with others.

I finally got the dates for the film at Cinema Du Parc here in Montreal. Forgetful Not Forgotten will be screened on Monday March 2nd and Tuesday March 3rd at 7pm at the theatre. My film will air along with a short fictional film about Alzheimer's called "My Name Is Lisa". Then after the screenings I will do a short question and answer period. Both the Alzheimer's Society of Montreal & The Alzheimer's Groupe of Montreal are helping out with advertising and will be present at the screenings to take donations and give out information about Alzheimer's.

The next screening on T.V. will be on The Saskatchewan Communications network on February 18th at 9pm. As well I've been contacted to speak at three different events in the spring I will pass along the information when I get it. I have also sent a copy of the film to the Alzheimer's Association of America to see if they can help promote it! We will also be conducting more experts interviews this month, and I will be posting some short documentaries on this site about some of the other people I met while making this film, stay tuned!

Chris
Last night I watched your documentary on SCN and while it made me cry it also made me think about the strength it must have taken for you to be able to follow your father through this.
My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in January and while most of us in the family knew this was happening, there are some who are in denial. I can't wait for this to come out on DVD for all my family members to watch - it will help those in denial and it will also show my mother that she has indeed done the right thing.
Thank you.

Lil

I watched your movie on tv last night. Amazing! The strength you must have needed to film your father had to have been exhausting. I cried several times throughout the film just by imagining how it must have felt for your father to forget who you are and hearing the pain in your voice when speaking with him. He's extremely lucky to have been surrounded by you and your family. As a student nurse, I've worked with Alzheimer's patients; all too many that have been put into homes and forgotten as they have progressively forgotten their loved ones. I can better understand the progression of Alzheimer's and its side effects now and know what families go through when their loved one is diagnosed. Thank you!

Watched your movie last night on SCN. Your Father would be proud of you for making a film about him and the battle with alzheimers . I related to so many things in the show to my family and our moms alzheimers . Our Dad cared for mom for 5 years until Dad became ill in the fall of 06 .Dad was hospitalized so we had to make the decision to put mom into long term care.Dad passed away Jan.22 07 and mom passed away in her sleep Feb 28 07 .In away we were blessed because we didn't have to watch her struggle anymore.I had two uncles on my moms side who had a tough fight with alheimers. At least the disease doesn't take away their sense of humour .Our mom made us laugh all the time . Thank you for making the movie it brought back lots of memories.

Dear Chris,
I just finished watching your amazing film on SCN.I applaud your courage and your honesty. This film is a great tribute to your Father as well as your entire family.
I,myself, am caring for my Mum who is the final stages of Alzheimers as well as Parkinsons Disease.I have been dealing with both diseaes since her diagnosis in August of 2006. So much of what you documented hit home with me. I too had to place my Mum in a Long Term Care Facility where I watch her deteriorate on almost a daily basis. Some people told me that it would get easier in time....it hasn't. I am grateful for every moment we have together whether she knows I am there or not.
I thank you for making this film and I hope that you are inundated with requests to show it because it certainly deserves to be seen. The more educated people are, the better off the victims of this disease will be. I wish you and yours well.
Sincerely
Diane

Hi Chris,
I was reading an article about your movie in a newspaper in mt staff room. I googled the movie as soon as I returned to my desk and found the trailer on You Tube. As it got the scene with you at the lake, with tears rolling down my face, I realised that we lived together on Flora Ave in Ottawa.
My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's last March, we have been seeing the signs for almost 6 years now. We are at the beginning of our journey and seeing what is coming our way is frightening. I must comment on the strength it must have taken you to make this film, you are a strong and beautiful man for sharing your experiences.
I look forward to watching the whole film.
Shauna

Interview with Chris Wynn

Was it hard to film your father in his condition?
