update on mom: On Jan 3 2010 I found my mom on the floor of the bedroom. Called 911 off to hospital, thought her hip was broke turned out it was'nt but had a stroke. her mind seems alot worse now still not up walking yet its been three weeks, dr wants her to go to nursing home from there which i know is for the best, so we will wait in hospital until bed comes up which will be 2-3 months. I felt a little relief now that shes there knowing shes not alone. but i still dread the day for the nursting home , now i have to clean out her apt. which i have a had time dealing with that. You would think after swollening 3 toonies thing they where pills they would of done something a few months ago?????

oct 29 update: called to see where mom is on the list for nursing home ( 8 ahead of her) the case worker was in to see her and in her report says shes still able to stay alone. i don't know how she come to that conclusion. I will have to call her. When the woman sits all day and watches the news channel because she does't know how to change the channel. Homecare cannot get her to sponge bathe. can't cook but they say she can stay on her own I DON't UNDERSTAND THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oct 09 well not too much news mom is a little moody. my biggest thing is she is phoning in the middle of the night sometimes 4-5 times wants to know what i'm doing and what time is it when i tell her it's the middle of night she says what do i do. i think its time for her to into a home i know it will be very hard to do

mom forgets i have been to see her she said today when i was there " I wish you would come and stay a dew hours with me" mean while i was there tues, thurs, fri sat sun.sure hope she does't tell people i don't come much!!!
