My Story

After receiving a diploma in Photography at Algonquin College in Ottawa, I began my film career working as a Production Assistant on commercials and music videos in Toronto. I quickly decided to move into post-production and became an Assistant Editor. This was around 1998 the same time my father, who was only 57, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. After a few years I decided I wanted live closer to my parents to help out more and also start documenting what was happening to my father, so I moved to Montreal in 2002. I also began working as an Assistant Editor on BE THE CREATURE, an animal documentary program for the National Geographic channel. As time went on I worked as a freelance editor working on short documentaries, weddings, public service announcements and music videos.  As my father began to get worse and finally went into a home, I started to think about possibly putting together a documentary about his struggles with Alzheimer's and what our family went through. Forgetful Not Forgotten is my first feature documentary.
